The tax and accounting landscape can be a confusing area. It is ever changing and full of complex rules. We exist to help small and medium businesses achieve their goals through our knowledge, systems, provision of information and advice. Our aim is to provide business owners comfort they are compliant with the law, and also provide appropriate business advice and analytics to understand the profit drivers. We strive to assist businesses to excel.

Who Are We

We are a firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors. Our main focus is on your business, and helping you understand the financial numbers. This is not just through analytics but also by understanding your industry and the place you play in the market.
Of course we offer compliance services, as this is the backbone of corporate requirements in Australia. We do this in a manner which allows the business owner to focus on operating and marketing their business.
We operate on a fixed fee basis so there are no surprises at the end of a job. All discussions surrounding fees are held up front, and although we won't be the cheapest, you will get personal service and additional insight into your business. We are based in the Hunter Valley of NSW and have clients across Australia.

Our History

The principal, Paul Hartmann, has 30 years experience, initially learning his trade in the old fashioned paper ledger and journals. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and his experience covers both public practice accounting and tax work as well as audit functions. More recently the work has been in commercial businesses, implementing controls, setting up accounting and payroll teams, supporting the operations and handling industrial relations, IT and legal matters. His experience extends to a large range of industries and businesses.

​​The way to systemize a business is to have practical checklists and forms to ensure regular tasks are completed efficiently and consistently each time. It is also important to have a sharing of knowledge within a business to handle vacancies within roles, whether short term or for staff replacement. Preparation of this information in a usable format achieves this.
Accordingly, Systemize Pty Ltd is very focused on the use of checklists within a business as part of what would traditionally be titled a Policy and Procedures Manual. We have developed a method of documenting that varies from the normal and makes the process a working tool. These documents are then incorporated into electronic workflow tools or written in a simple electronic format as part of that manual.
